Employee Spotlight: Antwan Clark, RBT

Where do you call home?

I am a Georgia native. I have lived in many different cities throughout the state. However,  I was mainly raised in LaGrange, Ga.

I currently call Atlanta home. I have evolved into my true self here, and I look forward to what’s in store next.

How many years have you worked in the ABA field?

I have worked in the ABA field for over two years. I began my journey in this field as a Behavior Specialist within an alternative school program.

While working with students, I learned more about autism and the different methods to better meet their educational and behavioral needs. Those experiences in the classroom inspired me to become an RBT so I could serve my students more effectively.

How did you end up working for Applied ABC?

I started my RBT certification process with another agency. However, upon further research, I discovered Applied ABC.

My decision to work for this company was the best path for my career. It gave me my first in-home case.

I also appreciate the supportive team that I have here. My case manager, Naomi Trieger, and my BCBA, Jacob Gowler, are always encouraging and ready to help with anything that’s needed.

What’s the most fulfilling part of your work?

The most fulfilling part of my work is seeing the joy my client experiences during our sessions. We learn and have fun. I admire his motivation to learn and his perseverance to reach his goals, and I am thankful to be a part of that process.

How do you unwind after a long day?

After a long day, I like to come home and relax. My relationship with Jesus Christ keeps me grounded, so I pray and read the word of God to refresh myself. I also love listening to music.

What are some interesting facts about you?

I am a first-generation college graduate. I am also working on starting a non-profit organization to help at-risk youth better manage their emotions and develop healthy decision-making skills.
